Responding to Climate Change: The Voice of the Filipino Youth

Dr. Rodel D. Lasco, The OML Center’s Scientific Director is one of the invited resource persons at the “Responding to Climate Change: The Voice of the Filipino Youth”, a youth forum on climate change. This forum will be held on August 29, 2014, at Luxent Hotel, Quezon City.

The Environmental Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme and the UN Volunteers will conduct this forum. It aims to present to the youth leaders concepts and views about climate change and discuss integrative efforts that will enable the youth sector to plan coordinated actions on climate change issues and concerns in the country, including human progress.

Dr Lasco will discuss, “The 2013 Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, including the Concrete Challenges to the Youth Leaders Towards  Reducing Vulnerabilities and Enhancing Resilience.”
