OML Center’s Scientific Director Presented at the Forum Organized by DENR and UNDP

The OML Center’s Scientific Director, Dr. Rodel D. Lasco, presented the science of climate change to youth leaders and students at the Forum on “Responding to Climate Change: The Voice of the Filipino Youth”. This forum was held on August 29, 2014, at Luxent Hotel, Quezon City.

The Environmental Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme and the UN Volunteers organized this forum to present to the youth leaders the concepts and views about climate change and to discuss integrative efforts that will enable the youth sector to plan coordinated actions on climate change issues and concerns in the country, including human progress.

Dr. Lasco discussed key findings of the 2013 Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change including the concrete challenges to the youth Leaders towards reducing vulnerabilities and enhancing resilience.
