Climate Knowledge Portal for the Philippines has been Launched

To provide information on climate change and climate-related disasters in the Philippines, the OML Center in partnership with PAGASA launched a Climate Knowledge Portal at the 2nd National Conference on Climate Change, 26 September 2013, Traders Hotel, Manila. The portal allows users to learn more about the past and projected climate changes as well as potential impacts specifically for the most vulnerable sectors of society.

The knowledge portal shall serve as a repository of data from previous studies and will continually be updated as more information are generated by the Center with its partners as well as from other institutions working on climate change-related studies. Through this portal, the following will be made easily accessible to the public:

  1. Basic information on climate change and disaster management;
  2. Tools for downscaling and projection, and sectoral impact assessments;
  3. Downscaled climate projections per province (maps, view and download data by request);
  4. Useful resources and links to publications, institutions and experts.
